Race Retro 2012

Race Retro 2012

The end of February every year sees Race Retro take over Stoneleigh Park near Coventry. The highlight for me is the live rally stage – a chance to get up close to some classic Group B rally cars as they are diven like their makers intended. No hermetically sealed garages here, just hot exhausts and squealing tyres. Enjoy some shots from the event in the slideshow below and scroll down a bit further for some behind the scenes trackside...

New Marangoni Video

New Marangoni Video

The fine chaps at Marangoni have been on a press tour with their stunning Range Rover Evoque HFI-R of late and I was able to get some time with it (and Bianca & Cassie) as it stopped off at Autosport International. Here’s their finished video, with the Autosport chapter, featuring some of my images, beggining at around 2 minutes 30 seconds. I’m in there in person too – bonus points if you can spot me Kudos to Chris...

Balancing Act

Balancing Act

If you’ve spent any time on my blog, you’ll know I like shooting on location. I love all the choices I get when it comes to balancing strobes with the available light – juggling all the variables is so much more fun than shooting in a studio where you have complete control over the lighting. Shooting at night takes that to the extreme. Capturing what little ambient there is can be tricky when your flashes want to nuke...

Sunset Shooting

Sunset Shooting

It’s all...

Jen Goes To Hollywood

If you have followed my on Facebook or Twitter, or been a read of this blog for a while, you’ll have seen Jen before. Last week we finally got the chance to work together properly on a Hollywood glamour-themed shoot in a local cinema. Once I had the location arranged it was obvious a mix Film Noir and classic Hollywood glamour was the way to go so I started researching. Google Images came up with the classic portraits of Dietrich and...

JDM Drift Allstars Final 2011

JDM Drift Allstars Final 2011

Another weekend and another opportunity to shoot cars going sideways at high speed! This time it was the final of the JDM Allstars series at Wembley stadium. Here are the resulting images, some of wish you can find in MyMod magazine and hanging on the garage walls of a couple of the teams. And for those that want to know about the sport of driftins, there’s a nice little introduction in this video by the Togethia team. {lang:...

Competition Win

Competition Win

I realise this is shameless trumpet blowing but I’ve been awarded first place (and a free 7 day lens rental) in a photography competition by the good chaps at Lens Pimp with this image: Thanks to Adham at Lens Pimp for the exposure and all the people who voted for my image on Facebook. {lang:...
